The tactically-oriented Recon allows players to cooperate within small reconnaissance squads left on their own to survive and capture high-value targets in hostile territory. Warzone offers opportunities for dynamic, intense firefights in teamwork-focused battles of infantry and armored units over fortified points. All of this packed into two exciting game modes. ▶ MODERN BATTLEFIELD EXPERIENCE: World War 3 presents a modern conflict with tactics, techniques and procedures inspired by true combat engagements. On March 24, it was announced that the free-to-play Open Beta launch of World War 3 was postponed, and that a new release date will be announced in the near future.

The game will first be sold in early access before it is made free to play once open beta launches. Produced in cooperation with military R&D centers and consultants, World War 3 shows the consequences of every battle in the context of a global war campaign on a strategic war map.

Strong teamplay, national armed forces, real locations, full body awareness, and a versatile customization system all contribute to the authenticity of the modern combat experience enhanced by other essential elements such as a robust ballistic system, advanced armors and life-like weapons.

In addition to downloading the game, players on Steam will need to download the MY.GAMES launcher (approximately 180MB), which is WW3's main launcher and it is mandatory for account authentication. It's important to note that previous builds of the game have been deactivated and that you will need to uninstall them before installing the CBT build. To preload the game, simply click on the big blue "Install" button in your Steam library. This means that on 24th November at midnight local time, you will be able to start with the pre-load via MY.GAMES GameCenter for MY.GAMES and Steam players. The closed beta build will become available for preload a day prior to its launch on 25th November.

WW3 closed beta test preload You will be required to install MY.GAMES GameCenter in order to play the closed beta build. In order to participate, players will need to purchase any of the CBT Packs, which will become available once the beta preload launches on 24th November, either via Steam or the MY.GAMES platform.
The WW3 closed beta test is not free, as it essentially represents a soft launch of the game.

How to sign up for WW3 closed beta test? Anyone who purchases any of the CBT packs will be granted access. The exact starting time is 1 pm UTC / 2 pm CET / 8 am ET / 5 am PST. The WW3 closed beta test is set to kick off on 25th November and it will not be time-limited, that is, the end date hasn't been announced, which probably means that it will last indefinitely once it launches.
