The IR commands will then work directly without any training effort.

In a future update these commands will be stored on the Sync Box by default, so that the training process can be skipped. The IR commands for the Sync Box have to be trained with the Sync App as soon as the Sync Box is added to the Logitech Harmony Remote. Signify lets us know the following: “Currently, the IR codes that are in the Logitech Harmony database are not yet pre-programmed in the Hue Sync Box. I was able to find these commands directly on my Harmony Elite – but I couldn’t execute them yet. Wish I could take legal action or something. If you activate this device, all actions that are possible with the sync box will be stored in the Harmony app. I've requested a exchange or refund and they've refused.

To confirm its not a glitch, I hit info button on my TV or receiver remote and it states its getting 1080 input with multi channel pcm (which is a while other topic but apparently multichannel pcm is Dolby atmos on xbox?).Īnd, even with 1080p, my sync box still reboots and stops syncing (which was one of their troubleshoots). Soon as I plug in sync box (with or without the receiver) and I go into my Xbox settings again, the 4k option is gone. To your question, without the sync box I go into Xbox display options and I'll have option to do 1080 or 4k.

I want full 4k, Dolby atmos, hdr10 gaming.

My set up is Xbox one x > onkyo rz840 receiver > dual hdmi out (main to TV, sub to hue play) > Vizio p75-E1.Īnd yes, I tried different paths such as sync to receiver to TV, and receiver to just the sync (one hdmi out) to TV. Looking online and talking to the rep, sounds like IR control is "coming soon" - then I could hook up to my Logitech Harmony to turn on the sync box when everything else turns on, but right now I guess IR is not supported yet and I can't find the Hue Sync Box on my Logitech remote. Once it's on there's no lag, it's just that Sync won't turn on by itself. I read some other people using more than one of the HDMI outputs on the Denon but couldn't figure out how that works.as I can't easily access the projector to put another HDMI line there.īasically the problem is I cannot get the hue sync to turn on when everything else turns on, even though I have it set up in the Hue Sync app to detect and turn on automatically.

The projector is in our movie room so had to get a professional to snake a line 20 feet behind a wall, so can't easily access or switch out or add to that one HDMI cable. I have all my devices (Tivo, Xbox, Roku, Apple TV) plugged into my Denon 2400 receiver and went HDMI 1 out from Denon to Hue Sync, and Hue Sync out to my projector. Don't completely understand them or maybe my setup is different? I've read through some of the posts about getting this to work. Pulling my hair out trying to get this to work and wondering if anyone here can help. Odd that it's just happening with the Sky Box though and not any of the other devices I have connectedįirst time poster here.found this after spending multiple phone calls and many many emails with Philips support.

I'm wondering if it's the same disconnect issue a lot of other people are having with the box I've been reading on Reddit and other sites. The feeling is now that the box doesn't seem to like the Sky HD box so has anyone else had this kind of issue or is it perhaps worth trying to get a replacement from Philips? That was until I reset the box and started the Sky Box on HDMI 2 and now the problem is back but with that port and HDMI 1 now seems to run fine. My result was that the HDMI 1 port on the box was faulty.

I then plugged the PS4 into HDMI 1 and the box again would 'crash' to the point where I lost the picture entirely at one point on the PS4.

I then changed the port from HDMI 1, to 2 (what the PS4 was on) and it worked fine. This evening I changed the HDMI cable for the Sky Box and still had the same results. It kept doing this until I ended up turning it off.

After a few minutes of doing this yoyo the Sync Box would 'crash' back to the default light setting and I'd get an error on the app about it being disconnected with the Bridge. The light sync seemed to lag behind and then quickly catch up. Over the weekend I tried for the first time to use it with my Sky HD 1TB Box and the result went like this: I've used it on the PS4, Switch and Fire TV Stick all without issue.
